Ada Elizabeth Jones, affectionately known as "Pinkey," died Friday, December 22nd, 2023.

She was a graduate of Bridgeforth High School, she shone as a majorette. She studied at Tennessee Agricultural & Industrial State University and worked for The Growing Tree Nursery School and various Pulaski factories, notably Genesco. She also worked as head chef at the Heritage House Restaurant, where she became known for her delectable green beans and Jack Daniel Pies.

She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Jones, two sons, Steven D. Gilbert and Kerry T. Gilbert, and four bonus children—Brenda Jones, Eddie Jones, Celia Jones, and Robert Tracey Jones. Her sister, Evangelist Tootsie Gilbert, and sisters-in-law—Rose Marie Franklin, Margie Gilbert, Caulyne Cross of Pulaski, TN, and Gloria Cole of Huntsville, AL along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Visitation to celebrate Ada's life will be held on Thursday, December 28th, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will precede the Funeral Service on Friday, December 29th, 2023, at 11:30 am at St. James Primitive Baptist Church, followed by the Funeral Service at twelve noon.

Ada's final resting place will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, TN.
