William “Pete” Britton died Sunday, October 1st, 2023, at his home in Giles County. He was born in Giles County and was 91 years old. He graduated from Beech Hill, served 2 years in the Army during the Korean Conflict, served on the Giles County School Board for 24 years and was chairman of the School Board also. He was a member of Frankewing Lions Club and member of Beech Hill Church of Christ. He worked at Heil Quaker, was part owner of NAPA Auto Parts, and Giles County Road Superintendent.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

Services will be 11:00am Wednesday, October 4th, 2023, in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the New Zion Cemetery in Pulaski.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Britton of Pulaski, Daughter, Marsha Walllace of Pulaski, 1 Granddaughter, 2 Great-grandchildren, Sister, Mary Ann and husband Robert Wayne McAfee of Pulaski, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and extended family also survive.
