Coach Bill Holt, age 73 of Pulaski died Tuesday. He was a 1963 graduate of Giles County High School, and received his B.S. and Masters at Middle Tennessee State University. His 40 plus year coaching and education career spanned four schools, before retiring as principle of Pulaski Elementary School. He also served on the Giles County Board of Education. Coach was known as one of the main radio voices of the Bobcats and enjoyed doing the P.A. for G.C.H.S. football. He served as a County Commissioner for 33 years. He was a current member and past president of the Pulaski Exchange Club and was inducted into the Giles County Little League Hall of Fame. He was a lifelong member of East Hill Church of Christ.


Survivors include his son, Billy Holt and wife Natasha of Ardmore, his daughter, Beth Beech and husband Tommy of Pulaski, his sisters, Debbie Carroll and husband Mike of Mt. Pleasant and Donna Millican and husband John of Pulaski, and his grandchildren.


Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00pm this evening (Thursday) at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.


Services will be held at 11:00am tomorrow (Friday) at the East Hill Church of Christ. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
