An Accident involving a bus and a truck shut down Highway 31 near Yokely Road for a few hours earlier today (Friday).

Both lanes were blocked while emergency crew responded to the scene and worked to clear the accident and tend to all involved.

Reports say the bus was cleared and taken to a local church parking lot, but the truck took longer to get cleared. The driver of the truck was taken from the scene to the hospital.

Reports are saying no children were injured on the bus.

Traffic traveling South was re-routed using Yokely Road, North bound traffic was backed-up for a while.
