A man faces two charges of attempted homicide after allegedly shooting and injuring two people at a Chattanooga hotel Saturday.

Jalen Fusilier, 20, was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm following the shooting at a Red Roof Inn on Williams Street near Broad Street and Interstate 24.

The two people shot had non-life-threatening injuries, and were taken to a hospital to be treated.

Fusilier, a Louisiana resident according to an affidavit in the case, reportedly called police in Giles County to turn himself in after the shooting, telling dispatchers he had shot someone in Chattanooga.

He was detained in Giles County, where officers took a firearm he had with him. Chattanooga officers then interviewed Fusilier at the Pulaski Police Department and returned him to Chattanooga.

Fusilier is now being held at Silverdale Detention Center on a $75,000 bond, according to jail records.
