A pair of Tuesday evening incidents prompted a response by Lawrenceburg firefighters and Lawrence County EMS. 

Rescuers were called to a kitchen fire at Pine Bluff apartments just after 6 pm.  Crews were able to contain and extinguish the blaze however one unit sustained moderate damage.  No injuries were reported from the fire.  The displaced family was assisted by the American Red Cross.  

Just after 7 pm, Tuesday first responders were called to a traffic crash on North Locust Avenue near the Helton Drive intersection.  One vehicle had flipped and at least one person was trapped inside.  Firefighters quickly extricated that person from the vehicle.  

Those injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries.  The crash remains under investigation by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.
