Giles County gas price average today is $2.84, which is a penny more than last Monday, 23 cents more expensive than last month, but only eight cents more than a year ago.

According to AAA, on the week 30 states saw pump price increases or decreases of three cents or less which helped keep the national average relatively steady.

The south and southeast region is the only region to measure year over year gasoline stock surplus, which may help to keep retail gas changes moderate through the end of May.

Should U.S. crude oil and gasoline stocks continue to drop and supply tighten drivers could see gas prices continue to rise.
