According to the Sheriff Kyle Helton, Michael Adams was found safely in the woods of Elkton around 9:30pm Friday.

Authorities in Giles County and Lincoln County were searching for 15-year-old who went missing early Friday morning.

Adams is a type 1 diabetic and only had a small amount of medication on his person.

He was last seen at his grandmother's home on Pleasant Hill Road in Prospect at 5am Friday. Adams left on foot and was wearing a purple galaxy hoodie and carrying a gray backpack.

The good news is the search was successful, a joint effort between both Giles County and Lincoln County is now over, and, Adams is home.
