Giles County School Board's monthly meeting will be Thursday, February 7, at Richland Elementary School.
Policies concerning the use of HEMP is on the agenda for the 5 p.m. meeting.
The board continues to seek information concerning the use of hemp by school system employees.
First reading of the student policies deal with students using or possession anything that mimics a controlled substance. Another policy treats hemp products like over-the-counter medicines and requires they be administered by a school nurse.
Also, on the agenda is the school's 2019-20 calendar, overnight school trips, Director's report, Budget Amendments and E-rate approval.
