A Lawrenceburg  infant is hospitalized with multiple broken bones and severe internal injuries after being physically abused by their father.

Michael Fisher, 30, is charged with aggravated child abuse and Brooklyn Tidwell, age 27, is charged with aggravated child neglect.

Police started to investigate the child abuse case after Fisher and Tidwell brought their 2-month-old baby to Southern Tennessee Regional Medical Center.

According to a Vanderbilt nurse Wednesday morning,  the baby remains  in critical condition with multiple broken bones and severe internal injuries.

The baby's father is accused of physically abusing the baby on Jan. 26.

Both parents are scheduled to appear in Lawrence County General Sessions court on Feb. 7.
