Two Giles County women were arrested and being held in the Giles County Jail on separate charges.

Christina Rose Griffis, 36, of Lynnville was arrested Sunday and charged with Simple Possession of Casual Exchange and Contempt of Court.

Bond was set at $1,000 and Griffis  is scheduled to appear in General Session Court on February 5 at 8 a.m.

Arresting officer was John Alexander Rock of the Giles County Sheriff's Department.

Kamesia Diane Witt, 35, of Prospect, is being held without bond on Public Intoxication and Violation of Probation in General Sessions Court.

Court date was not set.
