Three men are accused of riding bicycles to a church in Lincoln County over the weekend, breaking in to steal items and setting a fire inside.

It happened Saturday night at the Church of Jesus on Vanntown Road.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, the pastor arrived at the church during the break-in and was able to extinguish the fire and scare off the trio of burglars.

Following the incident, deputies were patrolling the area and located the three suspects a short distance away, investigators said.

Richard Friday, 33, Josey Glover, 18, and William Watson, 19, are charged with arson, burglary, theft, vandalism and criminal conspiracy.

Deputies said all three suspects confessed to the crimes.

Bond is set at $62,000.
