An 18-year-old Lawrenceburg man has pleaded guilty in the December shooting of a high school student.
Sources said Kyle Daniel Welcher entered an open guilty plea to reckless homicide, and three counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
Lawrenceburg police investigator Lt. Brent Hunter said sentencing will be September 21st.
Hunter said Welcher was arrested in December and charged with the murder of Holley Ann Cullum, a student at Lawrence County High School.
Detectives said the shooting occurred at a residence on Smith Avenue in Lawrenceburg.
Welcher faces a penalty of two to four years in prison on the charge of reckless homicide, and a maximum fine of $5,000.
