Several people in Giles County have received emails and texts that claim to be from Publishers Clearing House.  They say the recipient has won the $100,000 Publishers Clearing House prize. 

They are asking that the winner send them $798 within 30 hours to get their money, and it must be a Western Union or Walmart issued credit card.

Publishers Clearing House was contacted by the person that notified WKSR of this, and was told it was a scam.

A reminder to everyone to never give out personal information on the phone, or send any kind of gift cards to someone you don’t know, because you could be a victim of another scam.
