At least one person sustained serious injuries during a late Wednesday afternoon traffic accident involving an Amish buggy.  

The crash occurred on highway 43 south near Story and Lee Furniture in Leoma when a vehicle collided with the buggy just before 6pm.  

Four people sustained injuries while one of the victims was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in critical condition.  Both horses pulling the buggy died at the scene.  Members of the Lawrenceburg Fire and Leoma Police Departments and Lawrence County e-m-s responded.  The accident remains under investigation.
