RedHawks Fall Short in Upset Bid

The Martin Methodist Men's Basketball team was eliminated from the NAIA National Tournament after a 72-68 loss to No. 6 SAGU Friday morning.
Senior Jeremy Rodgers was the star in the loss for the RedHawks, scoring 17 points and adding 14 rebounds. Fellow senior Davie Champagnie added 12 points and 14 rebounds in the loss.
The RedHawks finished the year 21-11 and as the regular-season TranSouth Conference champs under first-year head coach Scott Combs.
