Herbert Allen Taylor

Herbert Allen Taylor, age 88 of Belfast, TN died Tuesday, March 12th, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Taylor was a native of Giles County, TN. He was retired from Inter-City Products (Heil-Quaker Corp.) following 36 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lewisburg. He served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Marjorie Elaine Gatlin Taylor of Belfast, two daughters Cynthia Mernek of Nashville, Debby Burton and husband Chandler of Pulaski, one brother Farris Taylor and wife Marjorie of Lewisburg, one sister Sara Clift of Lewisburg, sister-in-law Florence Taylor of Illinois. Three grandchildren Tony (Donna) Burton, Jeffrey (Audra) Burton both of Cornersville, John (Beeca) Merrick of Millersville, four step-great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Brenda Wright and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be Thursday, March 2013 from the chapel of BiIls-McGaugh Funeral Home at 2 P.M. with Dr. Tom Dumser and Bro. Frank Edwards officiating. Burial will take place at New Zion Cemetery in the Brick Church community of Giles County with Military honors. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 4P.M. to 8 P.M. at BillsMcGaugh Funeral Home and on Thursday after 1 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the charity of your choice.
