MMC Tops Westmont In Kansas City

The Martin Methodist Men's Basketball team started its third straight trip to the NAIA national tournament on a good note, upsetting Number 11 seed Westmont College, 71-65, yesterday afternoon in Kansas City.
RedHawk big man Jeremy Rodgers led the charge, scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the year.
Josh Watson added 13, Justin Blake scored 11 and former Culleoka standout Demario Williams scored 10 in the win.
The RedHawks will look to pull off another upset in their next contest when they meet Number 6 SAGU tomorrow
Tipoff is set for 9 am in Kansas City.
