Trooper Jon Judge is Lawrenceburg District Trooper of the Year Posted on March 04, 2013
Trooper Jon Judge has been named the Lawrenceburg District Trooper of the year.
In an incident that took place last August, Trooper Judge stopped a vehicle for speeding in Marshall County. The male driver, who had no license, began giving him conflicting information. The driver attempted to flee on foot when Trooper Judge attempted to arrest him. When Judge commanded him to stop, the driver charged him, re-entered his vehicle, and drove away, dragging Judge down the road. At that point, Trooper Judge was able to fire his weapon, hitting the driver in the left arm. When Judge freed himself he was able to pursue the driver to Lincoln County where he arrested him. At that point it was revealed that not only did the driver have a long criminal history in six states, but he was also wanted for crimes in Alabama and Indiana.
It was said that Trooper Judge’s actions reflect on his dedication of duty and service to the state of Tennessee.
