MMC Dramatic Arts Presents Macbeth
Posted on February 28, 2013

The Martin Methodist College Dramatic Arts Department will be presenting William Shakespeare's “Macbeth” tonight, Friday, and Saturday at First National Bank’s Giles Heritage Theatre.

Shakespeare's words will be transplanted into a modern setting, with horror, blood, and graphic violence. According to Director David Alford, audiences can expect a unique theatrical experience. The goal is to present the classic play in a way that highlights the timelessness of the story, that Shakespeare is just as relevant today as he was 400 years ago.

The play will begin at 7:00 p.m. each evening, tonight, Friday, and Saturday at the Giles Heritage Theatre. Admission is free and seating is limited, on a first come, first served basis. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and audiences should be advised that the play is not suitable for children, as it contains violence and graphic, horror-style blood.
