Regional Planning Commission Met
Posted on February 26, 2013

The Pulaski Regional Planning Commission met Monday.

They considered a site plan for the construction of the Turner Retail Project, a proposed 9100 square foot development that was to be located on North First Street. Ultimately, because they would have to obtain a 35 foot variance, the commission voted to table the discussion on the issue. That way the project developers can look at other properties and report back to the committee with more information.

The board also discussed the proposed sign ordinance. Mayor Pat Ford expressed that he was not opposed to the entire document, but he felt they need something small to begin with that would address the issues they know they have now. That way, the ordinance could grow from there. Ultimately, the board decided that they would start small with a few known issues, such as the signs in front of Wal-Mart, and add on as needed.
