Upcoming Meetings in Giles County

Several meetings are coming up this month in Giles County.

The Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet Monday at 4:30 p.m. for a work session. They will also have a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 26, at noon. Both of these meetings will be held at city hall.

The Giles County Property Committee will meet this Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the basement boardroom of the courthouse annex. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss waste water treatment in Frankewing and other business.

The Giles County Financial Management Committee will hold a meeting on Thursday, February 21, at 8:30 a.m. in the basement boardroom of the courthouse annex. The purpose of the meeting is to re-evaluate the director of finance and any other business.

The Pulaski Regional Planning Commission will meet in regular session on February 25 at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to consider site plan for the construction of Turner Retail Project, to be located on North First Street. They will also continue their discussion for the draft sign ordinance and any other new business.

The Giles County Board of Education will have a work session Tuesday, February 26, at 4:15 p.m. in the central office so that they can organize the interview process for the director of schools position.

The Giles County Law Enforcement Committee will hold a meeting at 4:30 p.m. on February 28 in the Giles County High School Auditorium. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss student resource officers (SROs) and other business related to school safety. Sheriff Helton told WKSR that he urges everyone to contact their county commissioner about their thoughts on requiring an SRO for every Giles County school.

All of these meetings are open to the public.
