Civil War Exhibition to Visit Pulaski Posted on February 05, 2013
A Civil War exhibition from the Tennessee State Museum, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, will be coming to the Giles County Historical Society at the Giles County Public Library on February 11. The exhibit will focus on how the war impacted the lives of Tennesseans by sharing some of the stories of the participants. The stories represent a wide variety of personalities, from Union sympathizers to Confederate soldiers, African Americans, and women.
The exhibit will also showcase Tennessee’s role as a major battlefield, transportation hub, and supply center for both the Union and Confederate armies, as well as the role of the Volunteer State during Reconstruction that made it unique among former Confederate states.
The exhibit will be on display at the Giles County Public Library from February 12 until early April.
