Pulaski Board of Zoning Appeals Met This Morning
Posted on February 05, 2013

The Pulaski Board of Zoning Appeals met this morning to discuss a stay of property on East College Street. Within the last month, the fire marshal, city administrator, fire chief, and building inspector’s office have inspected the old National Guard Armory and the building beside it. They found that the property was in non-compliance with city zoning laws. The owners were making residential use out of a property that is zoned for commercial use.

After the city found the building to be in non-compliance, the owners filed a cease and desist order and are appealing the ruling. They have five days in which to file the appeal with the city recorder’s office. The city is now required to give the owners a public hearing at least ten days after it has been advertised in the local paper.

That hearing has been set for Tuesday, March 5, at 9:30 a.m. in city hall.
