Winter Weather Advisory Announced

A winter weather advisory has been announced for much of the Southern Middle Tennessee area, including Giles, Lawrence, and Maury Counties. That advisory is in effect from midnight tonight until 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.
A cold front will approach the area tonight, with moisture ahead of it, creating prime conditions for freezing rain and sleet. Ice accumulation on trees and power lines is likely, with icy roads possible.
Ground temperatures will gradually warm tonight, however, changing most of the precipitation to rain. The ice accumulation is expected to be about one tenth of an inch.
Again, that advisory is in effect from midnight tonight until 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.
