Two Fires in Pulaski Yesterday Posted on January 17, 2013
According to Fire Chief Don Collins, there were two structure fires yesterday in town.
The first occurred at 201 Turner Street, the residence of William Daily. The call was received at 3:54 p.m. The fire was contained to an upstairs bedroom. No one was home and Chief Collins says the probable cause was electrical.
The second fire occurred at 610 South Rhodes Street, the home of Ezekiel Martin. No one was home and an officer on patrol spotted smoke and called in at 4:22 p.m. The fire was contained to the kitchen, possibly caused by a microwave, but there was heavy smoke throughout the house. Damages are estimated at $30,000. Four dogs also perished from the smoke and heat.
