Mt Pleasant Under A Boil Water Notice

The city of Mt. Pleasant has issued a boil water notice until further notice.
Officials said residents should boil any water used for at least one minute before using any water supplied by the City.
According to city's manager, the advisory is expected to remain in effect for at least 48 hours, but no reason was given by City Officials as to why residents are under the Boil Water notice.
Mt. Pleasant is working with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation to repair the problem.
