Ardmore Approves Garbage Rate Hike

An increase in garbage collection rates was approved by the Ardmore, TN Board of Mayor and Aldermen Thursday.
Lynn Richardson, who operates a waste removal company in Fayetteville, asked for an increase of $1.50 per month to $14 for residential customers and $7 a month for commercial customers whose base amounts vary depending on dumpster size.
This was the first rate increases Richardson said he has sought in five years.
In other news, reappointed to the library board for three year terms were Ken Crosson, Mary Hobbs, and Cornelius Rich.
