"Ball Cap Bandit" Strikes Again Posted on January 09, 2013
The so-called "Ball Cap Bandit" the same person believed to be the suspect in the First National Bank robbery, struck another bank, this time in Hamilton, Alabama.
Investigators said the suspect robbed Peoples Trust Bank Monday around 3:30 pm. They said he used a handwritten note to let the teller know he had a gun.
The teller complied, and the suspect got away with cash. He fled on foot through a field, and into the Walmart parking lot where he left in a white or silver sedan.
The suspect, Cedrick Lamond Hicks of Huntsville, may be driving a blue 2004 Kia Optima or the white or silver sedan used in the Hamilton robbery. He has worn a baseball cap in all but one robbery. In Hamilton, he wore a black fedora hat.
Investigators believe he commits the robberies wearing multiple shirts, and takes them off one at a time to help disguise himself after fleeing. He's wanted in seven bank robberies in Hamilton, Cullman, Albertville, Guntersville, Decatur, Rogersville, and Pulaski, Tennessee.
Anyone with information on Hicks' whereabouts should call Hamilton Police at 205-921-7424 or local law enforcement.
