Board of Mayor and Aldermen Meets Posted on January 08, 2013
The Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen met this (Tuesday) afternoon to consider several items of business.
The board approved, on first reading, an ordinance related to utility refunds. If the ordinance is approved on second reading, then citizens will now have two years, instead of one, to report discrepancies in their utility bills.
They also approved motions to advertise for bids on sign installation at the Recreation Center and for bids on the sale of land in the Old Industrial Park.
In new business, the zoning commission wants to re-zone an apartment complex from an R-3 to an R-4. The board voted to hold a public hearing on this matter on January 31at 12 noon. This is to be followed by a called meeting so that they can hold their second reading on the issue.
The first reading will be held at next week’s work session to be held Monday, January 14 at 4:30p.m. at City Hall. This meeting and the meetings to be held on January 31 will be open to the public.
