Helton to Propose an Officer for Every School
Posted on January 03, 2013

Law Enforcement Committee Chairman Tommy Pollard has called a meeting of the Law Enforcement Committee for tomorrow morning at 9a.m. at the Sheriff’s Department.

Items on the agenda for discussion include school security and any other business to come before the committee.

Sheriff Helton told WKSR that he is planning to propose that an officer be put at every school. Right now, the only schools that have officers are Giles County High School and Richland High School. He would like for there to be an officer at every school in the county.

This meeting is open to the public.
