UT Ag Research Days Announced Posted on December 29, 2012
The University of Tennessee's AgResearch will be continuing their outreach efforts with 12 field days and five special events in 2013. This will give growers and consumers an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest information in agriculture and gardening. The events will be at the university’s AgResearch and Education centers throughout Tennessee, where agricultural scientists conduct much of their research.
At field days, visitors can examine the research trial results, see new demonstrations and speak one-on-one with UTexperts. Plus, most field days feature a trade show, where vendors display new equipment, products or crafts. A change to the field day program includes having the Ensuring a Healthy Forest field day at the AgResearch and Education Center at Ames Plantation in Grand Junction. The Forest Resources field day will be known as Woods and Wildlife and the Green Industry special event will be titled Summer Color.
