Emergency Crews Busy Over The Holiday

A head-on accident involving a semi truck just before noon December 21st on Highway 31 South wasn’t the only wreck for the THP, Giles County’s Fire and Rescue, EMS and others, who responded to numerous calls over the holiday weekend.

A few of those calls include:

Highway 64 East at Owl Hollow, a rollover with three occupants inside a 1998 Lincoln Towncar, the extrication team was needed and all were transported to Hillside with minor injuries.

Then on Highway 31 South at the Co-op a two vehicles accident, a 2003 GMC Yukon and a 1999 Nissan GXE, no other details were available.

Another single vehicle crash occurred just after 5 pm. that day on Highway 31 North at Richland Market, the occupant refused EMS transport.

A stove fire was reported at a mobile home, 1955 Lynn Creek Road, just after midnight Christmas Eve morning.

That same day, a single vehicle rollover accident occurred on Highway 11 near Bevels Spring just before 6 am. Two occupants were treated for injuries by EMS on the scene and at Hillside Hospital.
