Three Car Accident in Columbia
Posted on December 10, 2012

According to the Columbia Daily Herald, a three-car accident occurred yesterday (Sunday) around 5:10 p.m. at the intersection of Interstate 65 and Bear Creek Pike in Columbia. According to Columbia Police Department Officer Jesse Lovett, a black Saturn Ion was in the westbound turning lane on Bear Creek Pike, attempting to head northbound on U.S. Interstate 65. A Black Chevy Silverado struck the Ion head-on, and the truck flew into the side of an orange semi truck that was about to merge into the eastbound lane of Bear Creek Pike, Lovett said. One male patient was taken to Maury Regional Medical Center for further evaluation, but Lovett said he was not sure if there were any additional injuries. Officials did not immediately identify the people involved in the crash.
