Efforts Underway to Save Lauderdale County Ghost Bridge

A petition is circulating in an effort to preserve a historic Lauderdale County bridge. Jackson Ford Bridge, commonly known as Ghost Bridge, which runs along Cypress Creek on Lauderdale 22, is in danger of being demolished due to dilapidation and damage by vandals. When word got out that the County Commission were planning to demolish it, concerned citizens sprang into action with petition drives. There is a deadline, however, as the County Commission is set to make its final decision on Monday.
