Library to Undergo Major Fundraising Campaign, Renovations
Posted on December 05, 2012

Big changes are in store for the Giles County Public Library as they are set to undergo a major fundraising campaign. A goal of $450,000 has been set in order to improve the building.

Some of the proposed changes include a new roof, HVAC system, carpet, painted walls, lighting system, and a self-checkout station for patrons. By making the library more energy efficient, the library has estimated it will save $8,000 annually in utility costs.

The Timken Foundation has already donated a $140,000 grant toward this project. As a non-profit organization, however, the library is looking to Giles County citizens and businesses. Tax deductible donations may be brought to the library branches in Pulaski, Elkton, or Lynnville or mailed to the Main Branch at 122 S. South Street in Pulaski. Businesses and individuals who would like to donate time or construction materials are asked to call Project Director Scott Hardage, 363-2720.
