Fulmer in College Football Hall of Fame

Former University of Tennessee football coach Phillip Fulmer is set to be inducted into the College Football Fall of Fame today. He will join fellow honorees such as former Miami coach Jimmy Johnson, former Texas A&M coach R.C. Slocum, and 14 former players in getting inducted at a National Football Foundation awards dinner in New York. Although this honor usually comes after retirement, Fulmer says he hasn’t ruled out a comeback. Although he has had the opportunity to return to coaching, he says, nothing has been tempting enough.
Fulmer was the head coach at the University of Tennessee from 1992-2008, during which time he posted a 152-52 record and a national championship victory in 1998.
