Cobb To Play In The Toyota East-West All-Star Classic Posted on November 15, 2012
Three of the four quarterbacks selected to play in the Toyota East-West All-Star Classic are from the Midstate, as the rosters for both teams were announced Wednesday.
Brentwood Academy’s Max Staver and Giles County’s Al Cobb will both play for the West team, with Siegel’s Brent Stockstill on the East squad along with Charlie High of CAK.
“We are extremely excited about both rosters,” said Bill Marbet, executive director of the Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association, which administers the December 8th contest at Tennessee Tech’s Tucker Stadium.
“These players have had exceptional high school careers and many will continue their play at the college level, many in very high-profile programs in some of the major conferences across the country. We think it’s a great group of young men that will represent their respective high schools very well.”
Coaches leading Giles County Bobcat Al Cobb and the West Squad include, Beech’s Anthony Crabtree, White House’s Jeff Porter and Dickson County’s Troy Williams will be West assistants, along with Columbia assistant Wes Duncan.
The game will be televised live on the state’s Public Broadcasting stations and will be web-streamed on tssaanetwork.com and on ESPN3.com.
