Early Voting Begins With Record Turnout
Posted on October 18, 2012

Early voting in this years presidential election drew a record turnout Wednesday. According to Administrator of Elections Cathy Bassham, 502 people came to her office to cast an early vote. "That is a record, one-day total for early voting," Bassham told WKSR.

To cast an early vote, you will need to go to the Giles County Election Commission Office, located in the courthouse annex building, also known as SunTrust Bank on the corner of Third and Madison Street. Stairs and an elevator are located at the Third Street entrance. The office is located downstairs.

Early voting is being conducted each day, Monday-Friday, from 8am - 4pm and Saturdays from 8-noon.

For more information on early voting, contact the Giles County Election Commission Office at 363-2424.
