Tire On Truck Hauling Hazardous Materials Catches Fire On I-65

A tire on the tractor portion of a 18 wheeler caught fire on I -65 Southbound lane between the 22 and 14 mile markers this morning. The truck driver had to drop the trailer and move it away to keep the cargo safe. The Giles County Fire and Rescue squad and the Elkton Volunteer Fire Department rushed to the scene to safety put out the fire. There were no injuries and the hazardous materials that the truck was hauling were not effected. The fire happened around eight this morning.
