Samuel "Bub" Short

Samuel “Bub” Short 80 of Murfreesboro, TN died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at his son’s home.
He was a lifelong native of the Silver Hill community, a member of the Baptist faith, He served in the Korean War and was a lifelong machinist and retired from Bridgestone in Lavergne.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Jennings and Ayers funeral home; 820 South Church St. Murfreesboro. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with pastors David Humphreys and Kevin Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Short cemetery.
He is survived by his two daughters; Rita (Mike) Haislip of Smithville, TN and Sheliah (Fiancé Jimmy Sullins) Porch;
1 son, Bruce (Terry) Short all of Murfreesboro.
a special grandson Mikeal Alan (Mandy) Short,
five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren,
eight brothers Charlie (Frankie) Short, Floyd (Wilma) Short , Jim Short, Allen (Carolyn) Short and Bobby Short all of Murfreesboro, TN, Raymond (Shirley) Short of Lebanon, Thurman (Lois) Short of Christiana, Roger “Rudy” (Brenda) Short of Pulaski, TN,
three sisters; Marie Nickens, Janice (Randall) Singleton all of Murfreesboro, and Betty (Odell) Oliver of Lebanon, He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
