Fourth Quarter Comeback Sinks Richland Posted on September 28, 2012
Perry County came back in the fourth quarter to defeat Richland 38-28 on Friday night. The Vikings trailed the Raiders 28-20 at the start of the final period then scored with just less than ten minutes to go in the game to cut the Raider lead to 28-26. Then they recovered an onside kick , and scored again from 44 yards out to go up 32-28 and added another touchdown late. Richland fell behind 8-0 but took the lead when Peyton Hamlett ran it over from five yards out. A two point run put the Raiders on top 14-8. Cody Jordon scored the first TD for Richland on a 37 yard run. Later he scored from one yard out and hit Zach Reynolds for a 23 yard TD pass. The Raiders led at the half 20-14. Richland is now 1-5 on the season.
