Stricter Unemployment Standards Now The Law

New stricter standards for unemployment claimants have been enacted in Tennessee and will require beneficiaries to prove they are actively pursusing work through written documentation. The new law went in effect September first. Unemployment beneficiaries will have to provide proof they have contacted a minimum of three employers per week or have used career center services. The state will conduct about 1,000 random audits per week to verify work serach documents.
