County Commission To Set Tax Rate On Monday

Monday's a big day in Giles County. The County Commission will meet Monday morning at nine to vote on the budget. The county has been operating under a continuing resolution that allowed it to use last year's budget to keep the county in business until a new budget is passed and a tax rate set. That should come this Monday morning. County Commission committes have held a long series of meetings and hearings the the budget panel has hammered out a budget that keeps the tax rate where it currently stands. But nothing will officialy happen until the Commission meets in Monday's special session.
