Doss Wins State House Republican Primary

Leoma’s Barry Doss won a much talked about Republican primary race on Thursday over Giles County’s Don Parr to become the GOP candidate for the November election. Doss carried his home county of Lawrence with 69 percent of the vote en route to the primary victory. Parr carried his home Giles County, but not by near enough to win. The final tally was Doss 4,293, Parr 2564. Doss will face Democrat Calvin Moore in the November general election.
