Festival Honoring Giles Native Begins Tonight In Lawrenceburg Posted on July 26, 2012
The festival that's named for a Giles County native beings tonight (Thursday) in neighboring Lawrenceburg. The James D. Vaughan Quartet Festival continuing through Saturday as fans from all over the nation will be at the Historic Crockett Theater as it rings with over 10 of the nations top quartets honoring the founder of Southern Gospel Music. Ernie Haase and Signature Sound Quartet will perform tonight at seven. On Friday
evening, its friends and family night, the quartet singing will begin at 7:00p.m. with the Inspirations, the Dixie Melody Boys, and a first time ever appearance at the festival, the McKameys. A Saturday Matinee will be at 1:00p.m. featuring the LeFevre Quartet and the Diplomats. For those who love all-male quartets, you'll not want to miss it on Saturday at 6:00 featuring, the Mark Trammell Quartet, the "Mighty" Kingsmen Quartet, and the ever-popular Gold City quartet.
