John Robert Appleton, Sr., age 86, died on Friday, July 13, 2012, at his home in Minor Hill, TN. He was a Giles County native, the owner of Appleton’s Tavern, a farmer, and served in the US Army during World War II. He was also a former member of Pulaski Blue Lodge 101 and York & Scottish Rite.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, 7-22-2012, at 3:00PM at the Giles Memory Garden in Pulaski, with Brother Mike Kelley of Savannah, TN, officiating.
Survivors are: son, John Appleton, Jr. and wife Stacia of Athens, AL,
sister in law, Betty Jo Appleton of Waynesboro, TN,
sisters, Wildean Kelly of Rogersville, AL, Rebecca Sandusky of Lakeland, FL, and Ruth Tannehill of Nashville, TN,
grandchildren, Erica and Jonathan ,
special granddaughter, several great grandchildren
and caregiver, Michelle Daugherty and Roy of Minor Hill,
