Eight Yr. Old Ripken Stars Claim District Crown

The Giles County Cal Ripken 8-year-old All Stars scored all the runs
they needed in the first inning to claim the championship of their
district tournament last weekend.
The 8s defeated Maury County 17-4 in their first round game then
scored four runs in the first as they topped Marshall County 5-2 in
the championship game to claim the district title.
The 8s head to Elizabethton this weekend for the Cal Ripken State
Tournament.
