Bill Ashton (John William Ashton) died Tuesday, April 30th in Miami, Florida. He was born in Lynnville, graduated from Jones High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He attended University of Miami School of Engineering. He worked at Coral Gables First National Bank.

Survivors include children, William Howard Ashton, Robert Charles Ashton, Carol Ashton and husband Lee Ives and Thomas John Ashton, four granddaughters, brother Robert Reynolds Ashton and wife Ellen Durrett and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be 11:00am until 12:30pm Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, at Bennett-May and Pierce Funeral Home.

Services will be at 12:30pm Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, at Bennett-May and Pierce Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Lynnwood Cemetery in Lynnville.
