More Tennesseans started March on the job as employment improved across the state. Every county recorded lower unemployment rates for the month, according to newly released data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

All 95 counties showed an improved unemployment situation when compared to their revised February numbers.

Here’s the latest local numbers for nearby counties…

Giles County’s rate is 2.6%, Lawrence County 3.0%, Maury County 2.3%, Marshall County 2.8%, Lewis County 2.7%, Hickman County 2.3%, Lincoln County 2.6%, Moore County 1.9%, and Wayne County 3.4%.
